ULTRA III: ALGAE BECOMES SNEAKERS

11:50 p.m.: “Ding!”. A sms from my friend Tiziano: – “Look at this! Would I order a pair also for you, my dear 🙂 ??” – So I’m gonna see the link he sent me and for a moment I can’t believe my eyes: – “The London brand Vivobarefoot, in collaboration with Bloom Foam, an eco-crusanding team based in Mississippi, specialized in high-performance solutions for innovative plant-based materials, has just launched the first vegan sneakers made only with algae – (What??! Just with algae?!) So I’m gonna keep reading, a little bit skeptical and thrilled too, and I find out that these sneakers are not (more…)

đá quý: GREEN AND CONSCIOUS STYLE

The Circle is a ZEN symbol that encloses in itself the priciple, the center of the centers: it is everywhere and even nowhere. A shape used  since the dawn of humanity to represent the sun and male power, it also symbolizes the soul and the water, and hence the concept of femininity and maternity. The Circle is definitely the perfect element and its harmonious shape represent the concept of perpetual motion: as well as fashion constantly changes season by season opening and closing a virtual circle, natural materials can find a perpetual development and reuse today, renewing constantly them  and minimizing  the environmental impact.

REVEYE’: WHEN THE AWAKENING IS CONSCIOUS

Every single word encloses a specific meaning, a concept, a thought, a story. It is not a coincidence that three brilliant Italian dreamers (Marco, Andrea and Viviana) decided to call Reveyé their ethical start up, which means “wake up” in creole.  Here is the consciousness idea created by the founders, and based on concepts such as respect, beauty and trasparency. Yes, because Reveyé finds its foundations on a philosphy of virtuous authenticity, and also on a conscious use of ethical materials and fabrics animalfree, through a constant research and experimentation of innovative and useful solutions. LAURA ZABO: FROM TIRES TO TRENDY ACCESSORIES

LAURA ZABO: FROM TIRES TO TRENDY ACCESSORIES

During the centuries, man has tested and created many materials to make his life easier, or just to make the objiects more durable. Unfortunately these “new” materials were not often the best friends of the environment, the ecosystem, the animals and also the health. First of all plastic and rubber, materials which are undoubtedly easy to use but definitely polluting because they are not biodegradable. One of the pursuit of the younger generation, to remedy the damage of the older deneration, is surely recycling and also upcycling, which is an interesting process of repurposing an existing material and changing it’s make-up to create another. And it definitely sounds great! (more…)

ELISA SANNA: A TAILORED PASSION

ELISA SANNA: A TAILORED PASSION

It comes from a real passion for this job the story of Elisa Sanna and the brand that brings her name. She moved in Milan very young, in order to enter in a small tailor’s shop, sewing the linings of Valentino dresses and collaborating to the realization of important collections. It learns little by little how to translate a sketch in garment departing from the pattern, up to tries it on models. The need to select natural materials and neutral colors that go from white to beige, up to the shades of natural, with the only exception for black tones, it comes from itself.

MAZE: CRUELTY-FREE LUXURY SENSUALITY

Nowadays, almost everywhere, sex does not represent a taboo. It’s always more frequently a overwhelming experience, a sensual game where you can play a role and share plasure and emotions with you partner. Women are stronger, more confident, more uninhibited, not afraid of showing their man what makes them happy. You can find erotic literature and novels put in order on the bookstores shelves next to bestsellers and cookbooks, that’s great! Even lingerie is definitively more feminine and sexy, just to show it freely under jackets and shirts. (more…)

WAX MAX: AFRICAN CULTURE, CONTEMPORARY FASHION

Just a few weeks to official Spring time. Even if nature seems to be awake in davance, here in Milan. Hearing faint chirping at sunrise, trees in bloom along the streets of the city, blue metropolitan sky is so intense that you can feel full of positive energy, just looking at it. So, you start needing colors! Stronger, more powerful and more energetic than faded nuances you want to say bye until the next F/W season. This is a good opportunity to play, to experiment and mix the most interesting trends we’ve seen on the catwalks. Such all explosive chromatically collections by Stella Jean, where color and African style are the indisputed protagonists. (more…)

BAIJI: SMALL STEPS TOWARDS CONSCIOUSNESS

Recently, I have been to MiVeg, a very interesting ethical festival centered on respect for life and consciousness. This time it took place into the beautiful Villa Arconati in Bollate, close to Milan, a lovely location despite the pouring rain. I’m defenitely in love with these events: I’m mad about stalls, incense, vegan snacks and all strange stuff! You can look around, taste, test and listen to all news from the veggy world. It’s very useful to find new food and products to include in your diet, in place of meet, fish or cheese. Also you can find excellent organic products, not tasted on animals, for your home, for kitchen, for your face and body care as vegan creams and cosmetics. And we know, all women love to try new scents, textures and colors. We start trying a lipstick, and half an hour later (more…)

ITALDENIM: RESPECTFUL BLUE DENIM

It’s an “animal free” fabric, easy to wear, versatile, suitable for any season, definitely an “evergreen” cloth… What is it? Obviously denim. It has evolved over the years, cyclically reworked in shape and colour by the fashion designers: from simple work pants, to haute couture dress, jacket, outwear or trendy accessory. Denim is everywhere! So, hands up who does not own a pair of blue jeans or a blouse denim into the closet. Obviously, no one… If you love fashion trends, you perfectly know that denim is a “must have” of the recent fashion collections for the next season. Just impossible to live without it! But maybe you don’t know that the typical blue color of this cloth – indigo – is often obtained through textile dyes harmful to the environment and humans. (more…)

ALYAKA: ETHICAL ALTERNATIVES TO COMMON COSMETICS

Talking about beauty and cosmetics unfortunately do not ever coincide with a respectful and ethical vision. There is a dark side in the beauty industry that many people fail to recognize, and that involves cosmetics that were tested on animals, a real torture for them. Furthermore, an indiscriminate use of harmful substance in beauty cosmetics can cause serious damage to our skind and health. Ethical practies must be observed in the manufacture of the products that consumers use, especially now that there are already lots of ethical alternatives that present better and safer options for personal care, respecting people, animals, and the planet. Speaking of wich, some weeks ago I received a mail as unexpected as well-accepted from the editorial assistant of Alyaka.com, (more…)
